La Casetta Sull'Albero International School is a charming place that offers a range of different experiences.
A nursery and preschool with ENGLISH mother tongue teachers for children aged 3 months to 6 years where all the activities are in English and carried out according to the Reggio Emilia educational philosophy (born in the nurseries and pre-schools in Reggio Emilia). The teachers are mother tongue and the children's routine is based on a constant cultural exchange.
The Reggio Approach curriculum is recognized worldwide as one of the most effective approaches which enhances the children's rights, abilities and skills.
La Casetta Sull'Albero International School is the only school in Rome which adopts the method and philosophy of Reggio Emilia. The architecture and the materials used reflect this approach.
By using this methodology, the children develop an open-minded outlook which prepares them for their future and instills them with a comprehensive knowledge of the English language.
La Casetta Sull'Albero is also an Atelier in which workshops are held on a daily basis both in the afternoon and on weekends. These include: art, music, nature, English language, yoga and cooking classes.
It is also a place where we gather to improve our knowledge of the educational and emotional aspects related to children, and for the presentation of children's books.
The School is housed in a beautiful villa built in the Liberty style, dating from the beginning of the twentieth century, in the delightful Trieste neighborhood. It has a charming garden, with flower and fruit trees that embrace the space dedicated to the children with a specific focus centered around the need to respect and have confidence with nature. In this space, many gardening workshops are held to stimulate the kids, and enhance their awareness and respect of the ecosystem in which they live, in accordance with the philosophy of the school.
